The Saint Paul Seminary Foundation, in collaboration with the Academics Committee, is going to hold the annual Philosophy–Communication Day on November 9, 2012. The event will anchor on the themes, “The Present Popular Culture in the Religious Faith of the Filipinos” for Philosophy and “The Role of the New Media in the Formation of the Filipino Mind” for Communication.
The event aims to equip and empower us with the latest trends, modern techniques and add more knowledge in Philosophy and Communication. We invited credible speakers to give us inputs and share with us their knowledge. Mr. Rodolfo Bagay, professor of Philosophy at St. Paul Seminary and faculty of De La Salle University-Dasmarinas, spoke on "The Present Popular Culture in the Religious Faith of the Filipinos”. Bro. Randy Borromeo, who is currently vice-president of Shepherd's Voice, a leading publisher on Christian Values, discussed on “The Role of the New Media in the Formation of the Filipino Mind” for Communication. He is one the Preachers in Blue Jeans together with Bo Sanchez, and he is very much engaged in evangelizing through the internet (by blogging, You Tube, Facebook), radio, and TV.
